Meet Hannah from Orkney. With the BetterPoints app she is turning everyday activity into lasting motivation!
Here's what she said about her BetterPoints experience:
I live in Orkney and work as a Medical HR Advisor. I heard about the BetterPoints campaign through work, and since I was already taking part in a walking challenge in June, it felt like the perfect way to stay motivated and get more steps in.
Since joining, I’ve made some positive changes to my routine. My commute is 2.5km, and I used to drive every day. Now I often walk or cycle when the weather allows. I bought a new bike last year, and I’ve found cycling is not only enjoyable but sometimes even quicker than driving! I’ve also started trying different routes to and from work to keep things interesting.
These changes have made a real difference to my health and wellbeing. I get more fresh air, I sleep better, my concentration at work has improved, and I feel more energised.Walking or cycling also gives me time to myself and helps me unwind after a busy day. I often use my walks as a chance to catch up with friends, which makes being active even more enjoyable.
What I love most is earning points simply for being active. I’m saving mine for vouchers, and I’m especially excited to use them at New Look, my favourite shop.
